Commercial Lines Assistant – Sales Support

SUMMARY:
Are you ready to join a fast-paced and fun environment where you can truly make a difference?  We are looking for an outstanding insurance professional with the enthusiasm and zest for a learning experience.  The Commercial Assistant will assist the Commercial Underwriters and Sales Representatives with the day-to-day servicing activities that will ensure excellent customer satisfaction. The right candidate will have experience working with the administrative side of commercial lines insurance, have excellent attention to detail and possess an active P&C license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process all administrative tasks for the department as needed which may include;
    • Processing certificate requests
    • Follow up on notices of cancellation and process cancel rewrites
    • Review applications for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to underwriters
    • Maintain accurate files and clean up leads in customer retention management system
    • Follow up with policy holders for required missing documentation for application processing
    • Other duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have an active California Property and Casualty license
  • Strong understanding of insurance terms, products and comfortable reviewing applications
  • Proficient in a variety of Microsoft Office computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Experience with using a customer retention management system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Customer service oriented
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from others
