Job Description

Multiline Claims Adjuster

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who will be responsible for handling multiline claims including general liability, liability, trucking, property, etc. The Claims Adjuster will offer the highest quality of claim service possible to the company’s clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations and determine liability.
  • Notify the claimant of liability determination within required time frames.
  • Obtain documentation of damages being claimed and evaluate claims for settlement.
  • Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
  • Complete appropriate claim reports for client and claims supervisor.
  • Establish plan of action to bring claims to a conclusion
  • Timely review of files on diary.
  • Manage litigation and direct defense counsel. 
  • Control legal expenses.
  • Adhere to client guidelines and participate in claims review as needed
  • Additional duties as required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to conduct recorded interviews.
  • Ability to learn rapidly to develop knowledge and understanding of claims practices.
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies

Required Education & Licensure

  • Current National Adjusters license
  • College degree preferred, however work experience can substitute for educational requirement

Experience:

  • Five (5) or more years of industry experience and claims management preferred.
