Personal Lines Assistant – Insurance – Berkeley, Ca

Are you a self-motivated individual with experience in personal lines insurance and the interest to grow?  We are looking for you.  If you want to join an ever growing agency we have an assistant position that could be the change you have been waiting for. The Personal Lines Account Assistant will be responsible for providing support for the Personal Lines Department. We are looking for an individual with a great work ethic who is professional and motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Personal Lines Department
  • Help with quoting and rating
  • Manage and provide daily service and maintenance of personal lines insurance
  • Work in conjunction with the rest of the personal lines team to achieve sales/production goals
  • Completes and reviews all necessary new business applications
  • Maintains agency files and computer data
  • Responsible for attaching ID cards and changing client information 

 

Required skills

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a personal lines sales support position
  • Knowledge of multiple personal lines insurance carriers preferred
  • Knowledge of an agency management system such as AMS 360, TAM, EPIC, Sagitta, etc.
  • Technical insurance knowledge including coverage and product knowledge as well as a strong understanding of agency functions and procedures
  • Ability and willingness to work in an environment of constant product and market changes
