Personal Lines Customer Service Representative – Clovis, CA

Our client, with a fast paced, and professional environment, has made customer service a top priority.  Having been in business for over 80 years, our client delivers expertise and customer service with the personal touch that is sometimes missing in the industry today. The Personal Lines CSR position will be on a Temp-To-Hire basis which is very similar to a probationary period.  If the candidate does well they will take over the position long term. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and provide daily service of personal lines insurance
  • Answer client inquiries
  • Completes necessary new business applications
  • Process basic certificates, endorsements, change requests and notices
  • Maintain thorough and accurate notes and client files
  • Find cross-selling opportunities for other lines of personal insurance such as mortgage insurance life insurance and other ancillary lines to existing insureds and new prospects
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

  • P&C license required
  • Experience as an Account Assistant or related position servicing personal lines business for an agency
  • Technical insurance knowledge including coverage and product knowledge as well as a strong understanding of agency functions and procedures
  • Experience with AFW and Applied agency management systems
  • Ability and willingness to work in an environment of constant product and market changes
  • Evidence of the ability to independently organize and prioritize assignments from a number of sources simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to abruptly change tasks
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to effectively communicate via email, in person and over the telephone
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required
